BEIT IMRIN, NABLUS, June 10, 2026 (JNA Press) – Palestinian infant Saleh Sadiq Faqih remains hospitalized after his family home in the village of Beit Imrin, northwest of Nablus, was attacked by groups of Israeli settlers on April 21, in an incident that left deep physical and psychological impacts on both the child and his family.
According to the family, the attack directly targeted their home and resulted in injuries to the infant, requiring his urgent transfer to hospital, where he continues to receive medical treatment and care amid growing concerns over his condition.
The family says it has lived in a constant state of anxiety and uncertainty since the attack, as their child remains hospitalized and the long-term consequences of his injuries on his health and future remain unclear.
Family members described the period following the incident as a daily ordeal, with fears for the infant’s life compounded by the psychological trauma caused by the attack. They said the effects of what happened continue to shape every aspect of their daily lives.
The family added that Saleh has remained under medical supervision for weeks and expressed hope that his case will receive greater attention from human rights and humanitarian organizations, given his ongoing suffering and need for continued medical care.
They also called on human rights groups, humanitarian organizations, and media outlets to shed light on the infant’s case and bring his suffering to public attention, describing him as a child who found himself at the center of a violent incident with which he had no connection.
The suffering of infant Saleh comes at a time when the case of Palestinian infant Sam Abu Heikal remains fresh in public memory following his killing by Israeli forces in Hebron, an incident that sparked widespread human rights and humanitarian concern and renewed attention to the reality faced by Palestinian children who often become victims of violence that leaves profound and lasting effects on their lives and families.
