JABALIA REFUGEE CAMP, Gaza Strip, June 8, 2026
An eight-year-old Palestinian boy was killed on Monday after a strike hit a group of civilians in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, according to local residents and witnesses.
The child, identified as Jad Youssef Suleiman, was reportedly on his way to school when the strike occurred around midday. Residents said another Palestinian man was also killed in the incident, while several civilians, including women, sustained injuries.

Images from the scene showed relatives and residents mourning during the funeral procession held later in the camp.
The incident comes amid continuing military operations and strikes across the Gaza Strip, where civilians have continued to bear the brunt of the conflict. The circumstances surrounding the strike could not be independently verified, and no immediate comment was available from the Israeli military regarding the reported casualties.
