Indonesian students staged a protest outside the Attorney General's office in Jakarta, demanding the detention of a senior prosecutor who has been named a suspect in several alleged corruption and money laundering cases.

The corruption case implicating a senior prosecutor named Febrie Adriansyah made headlines after the police raided a café, a house and a money changer in Jakarta, where they reportedly seized a hidden safe containing 74 kilograms of gold bullion and cash worth trillions of Rupiah. Police named Febrie a suspect in three alleged corruption cases involving coal supplies to power plants, a debt-related case linked to state-owned steelmaker PT Krakatau Steel, and alleged fraud at state-owned insurer PT Asabri.
