Calogero Russo is a professional independent documentary photographer born in Palermo, Sicily. A political science graduate, he has mainly worked on a long-term project on Eastern Europe, with a particular interest in slavic speaking countries, focusing on the relationships between former USSR and its satellites states in Europe. From 2010 to 2016 he worked for the Luzphoto agency which distributed his pictures. He based in Milan.
